Electrical integration

The High Speed Line from Amsterdam to Antwerp (“HSL-zuid”) is one of the largest infrastructural projects in the Dutch history. Apart from the challenge of integrating the line into the already crowded landscape, the electrical integration was an achievement by itself. EMforce acted as a consultant for the project organisation on the topics DC susceptibility and power harmonics. During the test runs witth a specially instrumented Thalys trainset, harmonic currents in both the train and the substation were recorded and analysed.
