Frank van OverbeekeFrank van Overbeeke is founder and director of EMforce. Frank graduated in Electrical Power Engineering at Delft University of Technology and obtained a PhD from Twente University on a thesis called On the application of superconductors in power transformers. In de period 1987-1993 he was with Holec Ridderkerk, developing electronic drive systems that have been applied in the VIRM series rolling stock for Netherlands Railways, and in the Class 323 EMUs for British Rail. He led the development of the single-phase AC input converter for the Class 323. Subsequently he joined Holec’s sales department as international sales support engineer. From 1997 to 2002 Frank was corporate R&D manager of the regional power distribution company ENECO. He left ENECO to devote his full-time attention to the activities of EMforce. During his entire career Frank has published his work on international conferences and in international journals. |
