The project Smart Storage was initiated by distribution system operator Enexis, to study the effects of electricity storage in a residential area. For this purpose, a neighbourhood was selected in which many houses are equipped with large PV systems. On a sunny day, in the distribution transformer in this area power is flowing from the low-voltage into the medium-voltage network. EMforce was selected by Enexis to act as their system architect. This included for example: Editing the functional and technical design documents, drafting the specifications of the main subsystems, technical supervision of subcontractors, editing the test plan, execution or supervision of system tests. Field testing will start in the fall of 2012. In this phase as well, EMforce acts as a consultant. |
